It's definitely kept me dry in the occasional rainy walking day!
And seen when walking on the country roads! And through the narrow streets of the towns and villages. :-)

That's Lori from Ontario, Canada in the photo with me. Mi Amiga del Camino. We met in Arre my first week of El Camino. And then met up again a week ago. Since then we pass each other while walking along El Camino and at end of the day share vino.
